Robert Schreiter is the author of Faces of Jesus in Africa, Constructing Local Theologies, and The New Catholicity: Theology Between the Local and the Global as well as several books on religion and reconciliation. He is Vatican Council II Professor of Theology at the Chicago Theological Union and Schillebeecx Chair of Theology and Culture at the University of Nijmegen. He is theological consultant for programs in peacebuilding and reconciliation for Caritas Internationalis, the Vatican-based umbrella organization for 162 relief and development agencies in the Catholic Church.
The faculty seminar on Culture, Religion, and Globalization, under the leadership of Vincent Miller (Theology Department) met for the second time during the Spring 2007 semester.
