Seminar with Winnifred Sullivan: Comparing Law Comparing Religion

Winnifred Fallers Sullivan is Associate Professor of Law and Director of the Law and Religion Program at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York. She holds a B.A. from Cornell and a J.D. and Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. Sullivan's work addresses the intersection of religion and law, with a focus on the comparative phenomenology of religion in contemporary legal contexts. She is the author of The Impossibility of Religious Freedom, Paying the Words Extra: Religious Discourse in the Supreme Court of the United States, and “A Prison Like No Other”: The Faith-based Initiative and the Rule of Law (forthcoming). Her new project is tentatively entitled Comparing Religions, Legally.
