Across the Atlantic: Islam, Europe, and the Repercussions of 9/11
This panel discussion brought together a number of scholars to discuss the societal impact of the September 11 attacks on Islamophobia, radicalization, and similar issues. Speakers included H.A. Hellyer, Senior Analyst at the Abu Dhabi Gallup Center and ISPU Fellow; and Jocelyne Cesari, Director of the Islam in the West Program, Harvard and JHU University, as well as Hussein Rashid of Hofstra University; Sharon Memis moderated. The event was sponsored by the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding, the British Council's Our Shared Future Project, and the Johns Hopkins University's Center for Transatlantic Relations.
