How Jews and Christians Invented the Bible

March 15, 2006

At this event, James O'Donnell, provost at Georgetown University, and Jacques Berlinerblau, associate professor of Jewish civilization at Georgetown University, discussed the origins of the Hebrew and Christian Bible. O'Donnell and Berlinerblau have co-taught a semester-long course at Georgetown on the same topic in which they explore issues like translation, canonical selection, exegesis, and interpretation within Judaism and Christianity.

This event was cosponsored by the Berkley Center and the Mortara Center for International Studies.
