Third Building Bridges Seminar: Bearing the Word
In March 2004, Georgetown University President John J. DeGioia hosted the "Third Building Bridges Seminar: Bearing the Word," and initiated a partnership between Georgetown University and Archbishop Rowan Williams. Following from the focus on Scripture at the second Building Bridges seminar in Qatar, this event focused on prophecy in Biblical and Qur'anic perspective, exploring this theme through public lectures and discussion of scriptural texts in groups. A record of this seminar was published as Bearing the Word: Prophecy in Biblical and Qur'anic Perspective, ed. Michael Ipgrave, (Church House Publishing, 2005).
