Daniel Chen

A longtime resident of the Eastern San Francisco Bay Area, Daniel Chen is a junior at the University of California, Berkeley, where he is majoring in Political Science and minoring in Public Policy. He has held a wide variety of internships with the California State Legislature, AmeriCorps, and the United States Department of State. His interests in American foreign policy toward East Asia, the interplay between domestic politics and international policymaking, and American cultural norms have informed his recent work for the Berkeley Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Study Center. He plans to go on to attend law school and enter into public service. Outside of school, he enjoys playing sports and attends Christian Layman Church in Oakland, California. In 2012 he was a Millennial Values Fellow in conjunction with the Berkley Center's project on young Americans, faith, and values.
