Hira Baig

A Sugar Land, TX native, Hira Baig is currently a sophomore at Rice University. After working on a Houston Mayoral campaign and interning at the World Affairs Council of Houston, Hira’s passion for connecting American politics to world issues motivated her to pursue a degree in Political Science. With interests in religion, public policy, and politics, Hira is passionate about remedying many of the world’s problems through interfaith work and dialogue. Intending on pursuing a law degree, Hira hopes to combine her passion for the law with social justice work in the United States and abroad. Hira is the president of Rice University’s Pluralism Campaign, a member of the Speech and Debate team, and a Social Science Research Fellow.
