Jane I. Guyer is George Armstrong Kelly Professor of Sociology and co-chair of the Academy at Johns Hopkins University. Her scholarly work extends to economics, gender, and African studies, including the anthropology of money in West Africa. Since 2008 she has been a member of the National Academy of Sciences (Anthropology Section).
