Maria Silva Abalo currently serves as senior manager for all agencies at Protagonizar, a microfinance lender in the lower class community of San Miguel, Buenos Aires, Argentina. In her current role, Silva Abalo oversees administration, finance, training, and special programs at the organization's various locations throughout San Miguel. Prior to joining Protagonizar, Silva Abalo taught economics at the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina, University of Buenos Aires, and Technologica Argentina; she has also worked for various banks and microfinance institutions.
