Sr. Simone Campbell, S.S.S. is the executive director of NETWORK, a nonprofit Catholic social justice lobby in Washington, DC. She focuses her work on peacebuilding, immigration reform, healthcare, and economic justice. Before joining NETWORK, Campbell served as executive director of JERICHO, an interfaith public policy organization, and was the director of her religious community, the Sisters of Social Service. She is the author of A Nun on the Bus: How All of Us Can Create Hope, Change, and Community (2014). Campbell received the Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Award and the Defender of Democracy Award from the international Parliamentarians for Global Action. She earned her B.A. in 1969 from Mount St. Mary's College in Los Angeles and became a sister in 1973.
