In a presentation at the 2013 Lausanne Global Forum, held in Bangalore, India from June 17 to June 21, Tim Shah presented a case for the importance of religious freedom. In his presentation, Dr. Shah connected religious freedom, and the rights of conscience, to the earliest origins of the Christian faith, and emphasized the rising tide of global restrictions which threaten this fundamental freedom around the world today. Organized by evangelist Billy Graham, the Lausanne Movement is a global evangelical partnership seeking to apply the gospel to the contemporary world, and to reframe Christian missions in light of the rapid changes in modern society.
