Interparliamentary Conference on Human Rights and Religious Freedom

The 2008 Interparliamentary Conference on Human Rights and Religious Freedom (IPC), held in Scranton, Pennsylvania, produced a concluding document reaffirming religious freedom and common values regarding topics such as religion and environmental responsibility, counterterrorism, and state sovereignty. IPC is a Nobel Peace Prize-nominated program of The Institute on Religion and Public Policy, an international institution composed of members of national and supranational parliaments from around the world. The conference meets every few years to address common issues of human rights and religious freedom while in dialogue with religious leaders, academics, and non-governmental organizations.
