The topic of fair, transparent governance is receiving increased attention from faith communities engaged in development work. Ethical issues are woven through the corruption challenge present in many developing countries. Diverse faith communities, therefore, feel a call to respond to governance issues in order to promote a global ethic of leadership and justice. The problem of corruption undercuts effective development policy at all levels. Good governance, therefore, is recognized as a global priority to ensure accountable institutions and successful development efforts. The resources offer an overview of the organizations, programs, events, and publications that demonstrate religion’s role in governance. The resources are part of an ongoing initiative focused on religion and global development sponsored by the Luce Foundation.
