Afghan Red Crescent Society
The Afghan Red Crescent Society engages in a variety of relief efforts across Afghanistan, focusing on issues of public health, disease prevention, emergency relief, and refugees and displaced persons. As part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, it is committed to the principles of non-discrimination, autonomy, and impartiality. The organization coordinates efforts by thousands of volunteers operating throughout the country, and administers emergency supply depots in major provinces.
