Alliance Defense Fund

The Alliance Defense Fund (ADF) works to remove legal obstacles to religious liberty and champions the sanctity of life and traditional marriage and family values within the legal system. ADF provides funding to groups engaged in potentially influential litigation, and it has increasingly been involved in direct litigation. The organization also provides focused legal training for lawyers interested in its core issues and helps allied groups coordinate their work to become more effective. While the organization primarily focuses on domestic issues such as equal access and freedom of expression in schools and the workplace, in certain situations ADF supports religious liberty litigation in other countries. Other ADF issues of interest include abortion, euthanasia, pornography, same-sex marriage, and sex education.
