Christian Health Association of Ghana
The Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG), founded as a voluntary professional organization in 1967, is now an umbrella network for 168 Christian member associations, all of which work in the provision of health services. Faith-based institutions like hospitals, clinics, health centers, primary health centers, and training institutions are organized into Church Health Coordinating Units (CHCUs); CHAG works as a liaison between the Ministry of Health and these units to ensure proper collaboration and complementation of government health efforts. CHAG's member institutions provide nearly half of all medical services in Ghana.
