The Southeast Whitehouse is located four miles east of the Presidential White House in Southeast Washington, DC and brings together local churches, community service groups, and other non-profit organizations to serve individuals who come to the home. Volunteers at the Southeast White House help members of the DC community with job opportunities, lifestyle guidance, friendship, and support. Additionally, the Southeast White House offers a volunteer mentoring program that serves high-risk youth. In this program, mentors serve as positive role models and encourage high-risk youth to pursue their intellectual or extracurricular interests.
