Bola Ajibola
Prince Bola Ajibola formerly served Nigeria as President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Minister of Justice, Attorney General, and Nigerian Envoy to the UK. Ajibola also served as a judge on the International Court of Justice. He is the founder of both the Crescent University and the Islamic Movement of Africa. He has published around 20 legal works and represented Africa at the 1970 World Peace through Law Conference on the law of the sea. Ajibola received the World Jurist Award in 1987. He was called to the English Bar at the Lincoln's Inn. Ajibola is a signatory of The Amman Message, which affirms the commonalities among all Muslim sects and condemns accusations of apostasy. He was also one of the signatories in October 2007 of A Common Word Between Us and You, a letter addressed to Christian leaders in an appeal for peace and cooperation between the two world religions.
