Brian Grim
Brian J. Grim is Senior Researcher and Director of Cross-National Data at the Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life and a principle investigator for the International Religious Demography Project at Boston University's Institute on Culture, Religion and World Affairs. He previously held several research positions at Pennsylvania State University, including managing an Association of Religion Data Archives project. Grim has conducted research on religious freedom in China, the Middle East, Europe, and the former USSR. His research focuses on quantitative measurement of religious regulation, freedom, and conflict around the world. He has also been a visiting researcher at Georgetown University's Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding. He is the author (with Roger Finke) of The Price of Freedom Denied: Religion Persecution and Conflict in the 21st Century (2011). Grim received his PhD and MA from the Pennsylvania State University and a BA from the University of Delaware.
