Daniel Lipinski

Representative Dan Lipinski was elected to the United States House of Representatives in 2005 to serve the Third Congressional District of Illinois. He serves on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, the Small Business Committee and the Science and Technology Committee. He also co-chairs the bipartisan Congressional Pro-life Caucus. In Congress, Representative Lipinski has also worked on the issues of healthcare, education, and immigration. Prior to serving in Congress, Representative Lipinski worked on the staffs of Congressman Jerry Costello and Congressman Richard Gephardt. He also taught political science at the University of Notre Dame and the University of Tennessee. Congressman Lipinski earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University, a Master's Degree in Engineering-Economic Systems from Stanford University, and a doctorate in Political Science from Duke University.
