Maarit Jänterä-Jareborg
Maarit Jänterä-Jareborg is Professor of Law at Uppsala University in Sweden, where she was Dean of the Faculty of Law from 2004 to 2008. Her research interests are in private international law, international civil procedure, family law, EC-law, comparative law, contracts law, multicultural issues, and law and religion. The author of numerous books, book chapters, and articles, she is the recipient of the 1998 K.G. Idman's Award for best publication in international law in Scandinavia 1995-1997 (Finland). She is an elector of the Council of Sciences on the humanities and social sciences, in addition to having held numerous national and international public appointments as legal advisor and member of numerous national and regional bodies that deal with international law.
