Tariq Ramadan
塔里克•拉马丹
Tariq Ramadan is professor of Contemporary Islamic Studies at Oxford University. A Swiss citizen of Egyptian descent, he holds degrees in Philosophy and French Literature and a Ph.D. in Arabic and Islamic Studies from the University of Geneva. He has also studied at al-Azhar. He advocates a self-confident Islam that both engages and critiques Western ideas and institutions. His works include Western Muslims and the Future of Islam (2003) and Radical Reform (2009). He is president of the European Muslim Network.
塔里克•拉马丹是牛津大学神学教授,世界著名的穆斯林知识分子。拉马丹是埃及裔瑞士公民,1962年出生于日内瓦,获得哲学和法国文学硕士学位,以及日内瓦大学阿拉伯和伊斯兰教研究博士学位,并曾在埃及爱资哈尔大学留学。拉马丹主张有自信心的伊斯兰教应该既能结合又能批评西方的思想和制度。拉马丹的著作包括:《伊斯兰、西方以及现代性的挑战》(2003年),《西方穆斯林与伊斯兰的未来》(2003年),《踏着先知的脚步:穆罕默德生命的启示》(2007年)。除学术工作外,拉马丹还是欧洲穆斯林协会的主席。
拉马丹被称作是“伊斯兰教的马丁•路德”,他是埃及穆斯林兄弟会创始人哈桑•班纳的孙子,是一位具有争议性的人物。《时代》周刊称拉马丹为21世纪百名“创新者”之一,是“欧洲第二代和第三代穆斯林移民中的领袖级伊斯兰教思想家”,而拉马丹的批评者则将其视为危险的原教旨主义者。2004年依据《爱国法案》,美国政府吊销了已经发放给拉马丹的签证,理由是拉马丹曾经向与恐怖主义有关联的伊斯兰慈善组织捐款。拉马丹否认知晓该慈善组织与恐怖主义的关联,并指出该组织是在2003年后才被列入黑名单的,而他本人最后一次捐款是在此之前一年。拉马丹曾出任多国政府的顾问,他温和的改革主义理念,尽管在穆斯林国家并不广为人知,但却对生活在西方的穆斯林产生了深远影响。
