Conquering Slim: Uganda's War on HIV/AIDS
May 25, 2004
"Conquering Slim: Uganda's War on HIV/AIDS" explores the critical role of religious leaders and faith-based organizations in supporting Uganda's ABC (Abstinence, Be faithful, use a Condom) prevention strategy, education efforts, and anti-stigma initiatives, along with the challenges in sustaining this positive momentum in years to come. It also stresses how cooperation among diverse partners and the integration of multiple initiatives was crucial to Uganda's success. The report was presented as part of the Shanghai Conference on "Global Learning Process on Scaling up Poverty Reduction" in May 2004.
