Johnson Controls 2012 Business and Sustainability Report

January 1, 2013
The Johnson Controls "2012 Business and Sustainability Report" features the company's efforts to support education, the environment, leadership development, and social services through a variety of global sustainable practices and initiatives. For example, Johnson Controls co-sponsors the annual Energy Efficiency Forum with the United States Energy Association to promote research and development of energy-efficient technologies and market opportunities; Johnson Controls is also working with the Clinton Global Initiative to help municipalities improve energy use in buildings through more efficient solutions and retrofits. For the environmental efforts highlighted in this report, Johnson Controls was invited to participate in the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen in 2009 and 2010, as well as the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development in 2012. These efforts won Johnson Controls the #14 best corporate citizen spot in Corporate Responsibility Magazine's 2013 "100 Best Corporate Citizens List."
