Singapore2007

2007 Building Bridges Seminar, Singapore

This seminar considered how the two traditions understand what it is to be human, addressing the themes of human dignity, human alienation and human destiny, as well as the diversity within the human race and the relationship of humans to the wider environment. These topics were again explored both through public lectures and through the study in small groups of relevant Biblical and Qur’anic passages. A record of this seminar has been published as Humanity: Texts and Contexts: Christian and Muslim Perspectives, eds. Michael Ipgrave and David Marshall, Washington, DC, Georgetown University Press, 2011.
