Amanda Montie
Amanda Montie is a junior in the College pursuing a major in Government and minors in Theology and French. She has left her home in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania and is spending the semester living with a French host family in Strasbourg, a city located in the Alsace region of France. While her primary goal is to master the French language, she is excited to study French and European politics at the University of Strasbourg and plans to closely follow the upcoming French presidential election. Furthermore, she hopes to improve her understanding of the relationship between religion and politics. While France demands the separation of polics and religion, Alsace, possesses a different set of laws governing the relationship between religion and politics. Amanda hopes to offer a unique perspective of the culture, religion and politics of this region in France.
