Clara Gustafson
A senior in the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, Clara Gustafson is
majoring in Science, Technology, and International Affairs with a focus on Technology
and Security. After her first two years of high school in China with most classes in
Mandarin, she finished high school in her hometown of Portland, Oregon. She has been
involved with student government throughout her time at Georgetown and was recently
elected president of the student body. Her passion for creating opportunities for everyone
led her to co-found the Social Innovation and Public Service Fund, which finances
student-led socially oriented initiatives. Though the hiking, camping, fishing, and hunting
she enjoys in the Pacific Northwest are hard to come by at Georgetown, she makes up for
it with Ultimate Frisbee as a member of the women’s Club Sports team. In 2012 she was a Millennial Values Fellow in conjunction with the Berkley Center's project on young Americans, faith, and values.
