Africa and Europe

As part of its global mapping of faith-inspired organizations in development work, the Berkley Center has held consultations and developed publications and web resources focused on Africa and Europe. In June 2008, the Berkley Center and the Institute of Social Studies convened a consultation of scholars and researchers in The Hague, the Netherlands, to take stock of the wide range of ongoing work by African and European organizations that are, in varying ways, inspired by religious faith, and to explore the policy implications of their work. The consultation led to the publication of a report outlining critical actors, best practices, and ways forward.
