Junior Year Abroad Network Spring 2019 Application

November 30, 2018

The Berkley Center's Junior Year Abroad Network (JYAN) provides an opportunity for students to blog about their experiences and observations about religion, culture, politics, and society in their host countries. JYAN is now in its twelfth year. Over 570 students have traveled to 59 countries on six continents.

Participating students write three academic blogs (500 to 750 words each) over the course of the semester, participate in a peer commenting group with students studying in countries around the world and GU faculty commenters, and attend a post-trip event upon their return to campus. In return, students receive a $250 stipend and have their writing published on the Berkley Center website.

To apply, please send a statement of interest of no more than 350 words to ss728@georgetown.edu. Applications for the spring 2019 semester are competitive and will be accepted on a rolling basis through Tuesday, January 1, 2019.

Please direct any questions to Sara Singha at ss728@georgetown.edu.
