Religion, Spirituality and Global Governance: An International Interdisciplinary Conference

May 4- 5, 2012

The University of Oxford Centre for International Studies convened scholars and experts in the fields of conflict and peace studies, development, and theology at this two-day conference to discuss the complex role of religion and faith in politics and civil society and its ability to influence global governance. Katherine Marshall, a senior fellow at the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs, spoke at the conference and opened the panel on "Religion, Civilization and Globalization." The Academic Council on the United Nations System and the Center for Sustainable Development and International Peace at the University of Denver were co-sponsors.
