Hady Amr is a policy analyst, author, and diplomat with a career focused on the Middle East. He served as United States deputy special envoy for Israeli-Palestinian negotiations from 2014 to 2017. His areas of expertise include Arab-Israeli conflict, American foreign policy in the Middle East, Sunni-Shi'a relations, and economic and social development in the Arab World. 

Douglas Balfour is owner and chairman of Geneva Global, Inc., which offers philanthropic and consulting services. He previously worked as general director of Tearfund and helped found the Micah Network/Micah Challenge.

Douglas Bassett became the area director for Central America and the Caribbean for Compassion International in 2008. He has also led the design and development global programs, program research and evaluation, and child advocacy efforts for Protestant churches in the developing world.

David Beckmann has been president of Bread for the World since 1991, leading campaigns to strengthen U.S. political commitment to overcoming hunger and poverty. A Lutheran clergyman and an economist, Beckmann previously worked with the World Bank; he earned degrees from Yale, Christ Seminary, and the London School of Economics. 

Deborah Dortzbach is the global director of health and social development with World Relief. A nurse specialist in international public health and child health, she also teaches as adjunct faculty in community development at Covenant College. Dortzbach has been involved in church-based HIV/AIDS prevention and care since the early 1990s.

Carol Lancaster was the dean emerita of the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and a professor of politics at the time of her death in October 2014. She wrote on the politics of foreign aid, the politics of development, and development in Africa.

Katherine Marshall, a senior fellow at Georgetown University’s Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs, leads the center’s work on religion and global development. She is also a professor of the practice of development, conflict, and religion in the Walsh School of Foreign Service, teaching diverse courses on the ethics of development work and mentoring students at many levels. She helped to create and now serves as the executive director of the World Faiths Development Dialogue, an NGO that works to enhance bridges between different sectors and institutions. In September 2022, she was appointed as a member of the Advisory Committee on Voluntary Foreign Aid at the U.S. Agency for International Development. Marshall has five decades of experience on a variety of development issues in Africa, Latin America, East Asia, and the Middle East, particularly those facing the world’s poorest countries. She was a World Bank officer from 1971 to 2006, and she led the World Bank’s faith and ethics initiative between 2000 and 2006. Marshall is a member of the Working Group on Child Rights and Family Values and the Working Group on Displaced Persons and Hospitality to the Stranger, both part of the Culture of Encounter Project.

William Recant is the assistant executive vice-president for international development programs at the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC). Before joining JDC, Recant served as the executive director of the American Association for Ethiopian Jews. He holds a master's degree and Ph.D. from George Washington University.
