African Christian Democratic Party
The African Christian Democratic Party of South Africa (ACDP) was founded in 1993 and promotes moral values in civil society. It emphasizes reconciliation, justice, the sanctity of life, and the role of family and local community in upholding biblical principles. Primary issues of focus include education, unemployment, corruption, healthcare, security, land use, poverty, abortion, and capital punishment. Notably, the party's parliamentarians voted against adopting the current South African constitution because of their refusal to include certain provisions in the Bill of Rights. The ACDP daughter organization, Women of Destiny organizes grassroots empowerment projects inspired by the party's biblical foundation and has an active youth wing focused on leadership development.
