The Anglican Communion Environmental Network (ACEN) unites Anglicans worldwide to provide support for Anglican environmental initiatives, as well as facilitate networking and information sharing among Anglican communities. ACEN was formally recognized in 2002 and reflects a long-standing Anglican concern for environmental issues. In the weeks preceding the 2009 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Copenhagen, ACEN released a faith-based statement "The Hope We Share: A Vision For Copenhagen." The network maintains a small secretariat at the London offices of the Anglican Communion and publishes reports summarizing outcomes discussed at network-wide conferences. These reports include case studies conducted by ACEN members in countries such as Peru and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
