Asociación Huauquipura

Asociación Huauquipura is a development NGO that promotes mutual exchange with the peoples of poor countries by conducting activities that support preservation of cultural identity and development according to Christian values. Headquartered in Spain, Huauquipura's work is primarily focused in Ecuador and the Dominican Republic. Most of the organization's projects center around gender equality, the rights of children, and rural development in these countries, but Huauquipura also supports education programs in Aragon, Spain. Its unique "co-development" model allows a form of cooperation in which citizens integrate migration and development so that both countries involved can benefit from migration; a strong belief in the empowerment of communities, individuals, and local organizations has made Huauquipura deeply committed to the co-development of Spanish communities and those in Latin America, which it promotes through a network of international partnerships.
