Resources on Faith, Ethics and Public Life was founded in 1988 as a “virtual congregation” to connect Jews worldwide and aims to provide every Jew with a Jewish education. It began with the introduction of online discussion groups about Chabad Lubavitch, the results of which became the first virtual Jewish library (Chabad Lubavitch is a branch of Orthodox Judaism heavily focused on Jewish philosophy and the study of Torah). The organization has expanded its resources and now boasts myriad tools, forums, essays, and online workshops to further enhance Jewish education. It continues to work to empower all Jews worldwide through educational outreach, encouraging spiritual expansion, exploration of Jewish heritage, and improved community and family relationships.
