Islamic Cultural Center of Russia
Established in 1991, the Islamic Cultural Center of Russia (ICCR) is the first public Muslim organization designed to serve the country's historic Muslim community. The center's activities include running a madrasa for Islamic studies and supporting the Council of Russian Muftis, the spiritual leaders of the country's Muslim community. The ICCR also engages other Muslim communities throughout Europe and is an active participant in the European Muslim Union. In March 2010 ICCR offered a 1 million ruble reward to anyone with information on the suicide bombings in the Moscow subway that same month.
