Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America
The Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America provides a wide spectrum of support services for Orthodox Jews in North America. The Orthodox Union is most widely known for its kosher certification department, which certifies companies such as General Mills and Land O'Lakes. Other programs include a job search and business networking system, a radio station with online programming, the magazine Jewish Action, and a synagogue network; the Orthodox Union also supports a number of Orthodox educational institutions. Associated organizations address the needs of Orthodox teens, college students, and those with disabilities, and a public policy institute protects Jewish interests at every level of government.
