Sheikh Abu Bakr Ahmad Al-Milibari is Secretary General of the Ahl Al-Sunna Association in India. In 2010 he joined 154 Muslim scholars in signing a letter condemning the embargo in Gaza. In 2006 he was among the prominent ulema who authored an open letter condemning the Danish cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad as a terrorist, calling for a UN resolution prohibiting "abuses" of all the prophets while also advocating respectful dialogue and an end to violent demonstrations against Danish institutions. He was one of the 138 Muslim signatories in October 2007 of A Common Word Between Us and You, a letter addressed to Christian leaders in an appeal for peace and cooperation between the two world religions.
