Imam Afroz Ali is the founder and president of Al-Ghazzali Centre for Islamic Sciences & Human Development in Sydney, Australia. Ali is also is a founding member of the Australian Religious Response to Climate Change and a teacher and manager director for SeekersGuidance. Ali has lectured widely on topics ranging from Islamic jurisprudence to ecology and citizenship; in addition, he is a certified corporate trainer who consults on corporate team building, leadership, and business strategy. Ali was a featured speaker at the 2009 Parliament of the World's Religions in Melbourne and a recipient of the International Ambassador for Peace award. He has studied in Medina, Yemen, and Mauritania, as well as at al-Azhar University in Cairo.
