Prof. Dr. HRH Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad bin Talal of Jordan is personal envoy and special advisor to King Abdullah II and chairman of the board of trustees of the Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought. A leader in interfaith relations, he chaired steering committees for the Amman Message and has spoken about interfaith issues at premier institutions throughout the world. In May 2009, Prince Ghazi welcomed Pope Benedict XVI to Jordan. Prince Ghazi received his B.A. from Princeton University and his Ph.D. from Cambridge University. He was an essential contributor to the October 2007 publication of A Common Word Between Us and You, a letter addressed to Christian leaders in an appeal for peace and cooperation between the two religions, and he acts as coordinator of the initiative.
