ARC-UN Faiths' Long Term Commitments for a Living Planet
The Alliance of Religions and Conservation (ARC) has partnered with the United Nations Development Programme to create the ARC-UN Faiths' Long Term Commitments for a Living Planet, or the Seven Year Plan, which provides structures for religious groups in creating long-term plans for reducing their environmental impact, specifically focused on reducing their negative contributions to climate change. Their website features a section on guidance for seven year plans, and it encourages religions to view everything from their financial investments to daily prayers as ways to advance environmental conservation. ARC has facilitated the creation of the Muslim 7-Year Action Plan to Deal with Global Climate Change, EcoSikh, the Jewish Climate Change Campaign, and many others. Current plans include participants from Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Islam, Baha'i, Buddhism, Sikhism, Shinto, and Daoism.
