USCCB United Methodist-Catholic Dialogue

Dialogue between United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and the United Methodist Church began in 1966, and these institutional partners are preparing to launch an eighth round of discussions following the seventh round's conclusion in 2012. Over the years the dialogue has released documents on education, holiness in ordained ministry, sacramental theology and practice, ethics surrounding death and dying, and ecclessiology; the most recent report, "Heaven and Earth are Full of Your Glory," was published in 2012 and addresses the Eucharist and ecology. In 2001 the dialogue also released "Methodist-Catholic Dialogues: Thirty Years of Mission and Witness," summarizing three decades of theological dialogue at the national and international levels.
