Interfaith Cooperation for Peace Conference Report

This report outlines the aims of the Conference on Interfaith Cooperation for Peace held on June 22, 2005. This conference involved a three-way partnership between the UN, religious non-governmental organizations, and governments. It was chaired by Dr. Alberto G. Romulo, Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines. Conference members made specific recommendations to the United Nations to improve interfaith dialogue and understanding while achieving the Millennium Development Goals. Recommendations included following up with the 2001 Global Agenda for the Dialogue Among Civilizations as well as other existing initiatives such as the Declaration on a Culture of Peace.
