The World Factbook
The annual publication of the Central Intelligence Agency's (CIA) "World Factbook" disseminates information on countries around the world to a wide audience, particularly now that it is available entirely online. (Print copies are available from the US Government Printing Office.) The online version is updated every two weeks and contains entries for over 260 world entities. Population information includes data on religious affiliation. The CIA is the principal agency in the United States collecting intelligence agency related to national security. It provides intelligence data and analysis to the president, Congress, policymakers, and military personnel.
