Anna Sun is assistant professor of Sociology and Asian Studies at Kenyon College. She was a co-principal investigator in the Templeton Foundation project "The Empirical Studies of Religions in China" (2006-2009). She has also been part of the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation funded project “Confucian Revival in Mainland China: Forms and Meanings of Confucian Piety." In 2010-2011 she was a fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study. Her book, Confucianism as a World Religion: Contested Histories and Contemporary Realities, is forthcoming from Princeton University Press in April 2013. Sun received her Ph.D. in sociology from Princeton University.
