Dr. Chimère Diaw
served as the Head of Family Planning at Senegal’s Ministry of Health and
Social Action between 2013 and 2015. Dr. Diaw was raised in Saint-Louis,
Senegal, but moved to Dakar to complete his medical degree. He is interested in
and has studied many areas of health, such as vaccinology, public health, and
tropical health. He has worked at various levels of the health care system and
is passionate about improving maternal and child health, as well as fostering
working relationships between the government, development agencies, and
religious communities. Dr. Diaw is now a Health and Nutrition Specialist at
Save the Children Senegal.
