Sultana Kamal is a Bangladeshi human rights activist and executive director of Ain o Salish Kendra. The daughter of Kamal Uddin Ahmad Khan and writer and poet Sufia Kamal, she started her career as a teacher of English literature in the Music College in Dhaka. In 1976 she entered a career in international voluntary service. She completed her LL.B. from Dhaka University in 1978 and received her master's degree in development studies in the Netherlands with a focus on women and development. Until 1990 she worked for Vietnamese boat people in Hong Kong as a UN legal consultant. She was an advisor to the Caretaker Government of Bangladesh in 2006.
