World Sports Values Summit for Peace and Development 2015

The 2015 World Sports Values Summit for Peace and Development, held November 2-3 in Cape Town, South Africa, forms part of a series of annual international symposia aimed at highlighting the positive roles that sport can play in furthering the cause of peace and human development. The goal of these gatherings is to facilitate a visionary conversation among young athletes, leaders, academics, and experts about the values that the world of sport can advance. The 2015 event brought together 40 young leaders and athletes from around the world, many outstanding local sportsmen and women from South Africa, and 25 experts and distinguished guests who participate as speakers and panelists. 

Co-sponsored by the International Sports Promotion Society, Worldwide Support for Development, World Faiths Development Dialogue, University of Cape Town, and the University of Edinburgh.
