Ruth Metzel graduated from Princeton University in 2010 with a B.A. in ecology and evolutionary biology. During summer 2009 Ruth performed extensive research for the World Faiths Development Dialogue on extractive industries and faith in Honduras and Guatemala, conducting multiple interviews and ultimately writing a draft report entitled, "Common Ground: Probing Partnerships between Indigenous Rights, Environmental Protection, and Catholic Movements in Honduras and Guatemala."
