This policy brief was produced alongside the report "Faith and International Family Planning," and is meant to serve as an advocacy tool for those seeking to educate practitioners and policymakers about the role of faith actors in family planning provision and support. The brief highlights the international need for family planning and the active roles FIOs and faith leaders have had in providing and supporting it, as well as the relevance that religion has to family planning efforts. It cites several case studies from the report which point to faith actors' dedication to family planning provision. Finally it points to action steps which policymakers can take to ensure that family planning continues to be supported and that recognition is given to the role of FIOs and faith leaders in this field.
